Contributions

Grants and unrestricted contributions are the largest funding streams for Susan’s Legacy.  Federal, State and private grants make up the largest portion of monetary funding.  Grants are very specific about the way funds can be spent.  Grants may cover books for classes and some of the salary for the teacher but not rent on the classroom or pencils for the students.  Items not covered by grants fall into the unrestricted funds category.

Unrestricted funds are created through fundraisers and your tax deductible contributionsMany of our clients come to us homeless and without the basic needs for daily living. Your contributions provide essential funding for client resources, supplies and support services.

Donations

Once our client is placed in a home, they usually have nothing to put there.

Donated household items and furniture are always needed.
Beds, dressers, couches, fold away beds, dishes, glasses, utensils, and clothes for women and children are greatly appreciated.

If you have items to donate please call (505) 843-8450 and let us know at which office you want to drop off your gift.  If you need arrangements to have your donation picked up please email our Executive Director at; executivedirector@susanslegacy.org
